FASHION DISTRICT THE SHOWS PRESENTS: CURVES OF INFLUENCE

Plus Size Fits All in a Powerful Celebration of Confidence, Beauty, and Bold Fashion

On April 5, 2025, the city of San Antonio witnessed a monumental moment in fashion history as Fashion District The Shows proudly presented “Curves of Influence”—a groundbreaking event that celebrated body positivity, bold style, and the power of community.

This event was created by Kassandra Rodriguez, COO and Event Director of Fashion Business Network, to honor and uplift the curvy women of Texas and beyond. From the moment doors opened at 6:00 PM, the energy was electric. Guests were welcomed into a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere that embraced confidence in every form. It was a night where beauty wasn’t measured in sizes but in strength, presence, and spirit.

The evening kicked off with a bustling market filled with local artisans and vendors, offering everything from handcrafted jewelry to custom fashion pieces. The space pulsed with creativity and commerce, as attendees explored a wide array of offerings designed to complement and celebrate every body type.

At 6:30 PM, the event shifted into deeper conversations with three powerful panel discussions focused on body positivity, confidence-building, and community empowerment. These panels featured dynamic voices from across the fashion and wellness industries who shared heartfelt stories, insights, and affirmations that resonated with everyone in the room. The panels served not only as a source of inspiration but also as a reminder that self-love is a journey worth celebrating.

By 8:00 PM, the main event took center stage. The fashion show brought a fierce lineup of designers to the runway, each showcasing collections tailored to highlight the curves and character of real women. Designers such as Nathaly’s Closet, Daughter of Venus, Salifs Boutique, Teahouse Stylings, NYDG, House of Magi, Kizari Designs, LaylaDionne Luxury Couture, Arsuri Anastasia, and Honey Fatale Clothing delivered show-stopping looks that fused style with substance. Every garment told a story of inclusion, strength, and unapologetic glamour.

Serving as the heartbeat of the night was the energetic and charismatic DMA Divo, who brought humor, heart, and high energy as the event’s host. The celebration reached its vibrant climax with a captivating Plus-Size Drag Show presented by A.D. Productions titled “BIG, BOLD & BEAUTIFUL.” The show was more than entertainment—it was a dazzling affirmation of the joy that comes from fully owning who you are.

Curves of Influence wasn’t just about fashion. It was about visibility. It was about community. And most of all, it was about redefining beauty on our own terms.

With every model who walked, every word spoken on the panels, and every cheer from the crowd, the message was loud and clear: Big is bold. Big is beautiful. And plus size fits all.
