Green Muse Project

Green Muse Project---A celebration of sustainable fashion, art, and community in support of community partners and local fashion and art designers and entrepreneurs.

In 2024, the Fashion Business Network in partnership with San Antonio Botanical Garden presented "Vivabotanica Project Runway, a sustainable fashion Initative aiming to merge the world of art, fashion, nature and education with a conscious effort of sustainability and preservation.

Local San Antonio emerging designers registered in an immerse two part workshop led by Amanda Hunter Alacron and Ida De La Rosa, creating a sustainable garment that depicted a personal journey in fashion as well as utilized the flower pounding and hand dyed techniques they learned. The participants then presented their final garment along side other sustainable designers in the garden runway fashion show on Saturday April 26, 2025, to kick off the San Antonio Botanical Garden annual, Vivabotanica community event that is held annually.

These designer garments were then displayed as an art exhibition to highlight the initiative aiming to support the sustainable art community and garden preservation mission in San Antonio.

Viva Botanica Project Runway has now evolved into the Green Muse Project, Fashion Business Network’s annual sustainable fashion program. Formerly known as Project Botanica, the initiative was a 2025 grant recipient of the City of San Antonio Office of Sustainability and an official Fiesta event.

The Fashion Business Network is dedicated to bringing more creative, innovative, and community-centered initiatives to the forefront. Through this work, we aim to raise funds, expand opportunities, and support the growth of the fashion industry and art community across Texas.
